Letras Libres
Letras Libres is the most respected literary magazine in the Hispanic Americas. Founded and launched in 1999 by Mexican intellectual author Enrique Krauze, its content follows under the tradition created by Mexican writer Octavio Paz’s magazine Vuelta. Letras Libres has issued articles by the most renowed minds, while offering its readers the best in poetry and illustration.
A Bit Of History
Danilo Black designed Letras Libres’ first website in the early 2000s, which at first was a digital archive of the print magazine. In time it became a great literary space with a broad array of blogs and articles covering a wide diversity of topics. We worked closely with the Letras Libres team to create a new, stronger – yet friendly – architecture for the website, where users can browse daily author posts, articles, columns and full magazine issues.
The fully redesigned website allows users to engage in realtime conversations with authors, share content to social networks, subscribe to the magazine or register to get the weekly newsletter.
